Computer architecture, application-specific accelerators, temperature-aware and power-aware computing

Research Description

Dr. Skadron directs the LAVA lab (Laboratory for Computer Architecture at Virginia), and his research focuses on the architecture of processors in the presence of physical constraints, such as power and thermal limits and reliability challenges, and the application of accelerator hardware such as GPUs, FPGAs, and hardware accelerators. He is also Director of the Center for Automata Processing (CAP) and the Center for Research on Intelligent Storage and Processing in Memory (CRISP)
